What are new enhancements of interest to event planners?
New Orleans is investing over $2 billion into transforming its meetings and events landscape—making it one of the most dynamic destinations for planners. At the center of this transformation is the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, undergoing a $557 million renovation. Just across the street, the upcoming 1,000-room Omni Headquarter Hotel will add 100,000 square feet of meeting space. The newly renovated Caesars Superdome and the reimagined Harrah’s—now a Caesars property with a sleek new hotel tower—add even more appeal. The Fairmont New Orleans and Element by Marriott are both set to open in Summer 2025. Perhaps most exciting is the River District, a vibrant 39-acre development next to the Convention Center, bringing new restaurants, entertainment, green space, and housing.
From hospitality to infrastructure, New Orleans is expanding and reimagining the event experience at every level.
